Priced for India

The costing model was drawn up in dollars, which put the entry plan near ₹900 — roughly triple the Indian market rate. It was re-priced in rupees against what people here actually pay.

Subscriptions only

JurisBot bills you for the software and nothing else. It never processes, holds or takes a share of a legal fee — that is between you and your advocate.

Cancel whenever

Downgrade or cancel from Settings. Your matters, documents and chat history remain yours, and you can export all of it or delete it outright.

Questions

The things people ask before they trust it.

Is JurisBot legal advice?

No. JurisBot gives legal information about Indian law, with the statutes and judgments it comes from, so you can understand your position and act on it. It is not a substitute for advice from an advocate on your specific facts, and it says so on every answer screen. When a matter needs a lawyer, it helps you reach one.

How do I know an answer is not invented?

Answers are generated only from retrieved source text, and every citation is checked against what was actually retrieved before it reaches you. A citation that survives that check carries a Verified mark. You can open any source and read the paragraph it came from — not just the case name.

Why are there no ratings or reviews for advocates?

Because Indian law does not permit them. Rule 36 of the Bar Council of India Rules bars advocates from advertising or soliciting work, and the Madras High Court held in July 2024 that a third party cannot brand or rate an advocate. JurisBot publishes only facts you can check against the State Bar Council roll, in a neutral order, and lets you choose.

Does JurisBot take a cut of what I pay a lawyer?

No. You send a consultation request; the advocate decides whether to accept; and any fee is agreed and paid directly between you. JurisBot holds no money and takes no commission. Advocates pay a flat monthly subscription, which is what keeps the directory neutral.

Which areas of Indian law does it cover?

Property and tenancy, consumer, family, employment and labour, criminal, cheque bounce, corporate and commercial, and civil litigation — plus government legal services and forms such as RTI. It covers Indian law only, and it will refuse a question outside that scope rather than give you a hedged half-answer.

What happens to my documents and chats?

They stay private to you, stored against the matter you filed them under, and you can delete any of them at any time. Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 you can export everything, withdraw consent, or delete your account and data outright — all three sit in Settings.

Does it work in Hindi?

English today, with Hindi input and output coming. Citations will remain in English, because that is the language the sources are published in.

Can JurisBot file a case or appear for me?

No, and it never will. It does not represent you, file on your behalf, appear anywhere, or predict how a case will turn out. Those are things an advocate does, and JurisBot is built to get you to one prepared.
