Who processes your data
Adamant Technologies Private Limited (“we”) is the Data Fiduciary for personal data processed through JurisBot. You are the Data Principal. Contact us at support@jurisbot.in.
What we collect
- Account data — name, email address or phone number, and, for organisation accounts, the organisation details you enter.
- Content you provide — your questions, the documents you upload, the drafts you generate, and the matters you file them under.
- Advocate listing data — for advocates, enrolment number, State Bar Council, practice details and published fee band.
- Usage data — the technical logs needed to run, secure and debug the service.
- Payment data — handled by our payment processor. We do not store your card details.
Why we process it
We process your data on your consent, given by clear affirmative action when you create an account, and for the limited purposes of providing the service you asked for: answering your questions, reviewing and drafting your documents, keeping your matters together, passing a consultation request to an advocate you chose, and billing you.
We do not sell your data. We do not use the contents of your chats, documents or matters to advertise to you, and we do not disclose them to an advocate unless you choose to share them as part of a consultation request.
Who we share it with
- Advocates you contact — only the subject, detail and, if you choose to attach it, the matter brief. Contact details are exchanged only once the advocate accepts.
- Processors acting for us — cloud hosting, model inference, and payment processing, each bound to process only on our instructions.
- Where the law requires it — in response to a valid legal demand.
How long we keep it
Account data for as long as your account exists. Chats, documents, drafts and matters until you delete them or close your account. Once you withdraw consent or delete your account, we erase your personal data, and require our processors to do the same, except where retention is required by law. Technical logs are kept for a short, fixed period for security and debugging.
Your rights
Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 you may exercise all of the following from Settings, without emailing anyone:
- Access — obtain a summary of the personal data we hold about you, and export it.
- Correction and completion — correct anything inaccurate or incomplete.
- Erasure — delete your account and the data associated with it.
- Withdraw consent — as easily as you gave it.
- Grievance redressal — raise a complaint with us, and escalate to the Data Protection Board of India if we do not resolve it.
Security
Documents are encrypted in transit and at rest. Access to production data is restricted and logged. The app can be locked behind your device’s biometric authentication. No system is perfect, and we will notify you and the Board of a personal data breach as the Act requires.
Children
JurisBot is not intended for children. We do not knowingly process the personal data of a child without verifiable consent from a parent or lawful guardian, and we do not undertake tracking, behavioural monitoring or targeted advertising directed at children.
Changes
If we change this notice materially, we will tell you in the app before the change takes effect, and the date at the top of this page will be updated.
